Hello and thank you for visiting our blog! Our names are Randi and Mason Rose. And that cutie in the middle is Ruca Rose. Whether you are a friend, member of our family, or HOPEFULLY potential birth parents, we are happy you are here! We appreciate all of the support and love and are looking forward to FINALLY starting our little family. We feel so blessed and are beyond thrilled that we have been called to start our family through adoption.

So, the first thing I would like to tell you is... We can not WAIT to be parents. The past three years have been nothing short of ups and downs and a lot of determination and prayer about starting our little family. When we finally decided to adopt we jumped in with both feet! I, this is Randi by the way, am a planner, so I had lists of questions and a few appointments scheduled within weeks of making the decision. To say that we are excited to be at this point... is a huge understatement. Let me start off by telling you a little bit about us.
Randi talking about Mason:
Mason is nothing short of the most perfect person I have ever met. I may be a little biased... but seriously. He is amazing. I knew only a few days after I started dating him that he was different. That he was "the one." (As cliche as that might sound.) Read our love story here! He is such a hard worker and a determined person. He is a goal setter and visionary. He has no problem setting his mind to something and accomplishing it! Mason has worked for Murdock Hyundai in Lindon, UT for two years now and has already been promoted to management! He was one of the best salesman they had, (he would never tell you that but I sure as heck will ;) and because of all of the amazing accomplishments he had last year they asked him to move into their finance department. As a finance manager he gets to sit down with customers once they have decided on a car and help them sign all of the paperwork, choose which warranties they want and finalize the deals. He loves it! Some of Mason's hobbies outside of work are camping, hiking, fishing, basically anything outdoors. We love to fish together during the summer and every year we rent a cabin with my family and go to Fish Lake, Utah for at least a week and rent a boat and fish as much as we can. Mason also LOVES soccer. He not only loves it but he is really good at it too! We play indoor soccer every Monday night with a bunch of friends, co-workers and family members on a team that Mason put together over a year ago! We definitely don't win every game, but we play our guts out and have a great time doing it. Something that attracted me to Mason when I first met him was that he is such a strong, protective man with a soft and loving personality. He is protective of his loved ones and is the leader of our house, but he is also such a good, loving person. He cares a lot about people, hates dramatics, and is just someone that is so easy to talk to. It's hard to feel intimidated or shy around Mason. He is the kind of person that just makes you want to be yourself, open up, be goofy and he is never one to make you feel out of place or left out. Another thing that I love about him is that I know what a wonderful dad he is going to be. He is constantly teaching me new things and encouraging me to dream up crazy ideas and helps me set all kinds of goals for our future and I know that he is going to be the same way to our kids. He will make them feel so loved by building them up and helping them dream up all kinds of crazy things! Mason will constantly be teaching them and showing them new things and new places and will be that dad walking through the grocery store with a kid on his shoulders and one attached to his leg. They are going to love having him as a dad and I can not even imagine how much he is going to love those kids. I can't wait to see it! I am sure that there will be lots of forts and hiking adventures and summer night soccer games in our future. Mason is going to be the best dad in the world.
Mason talking about Randi:
Randi rocks my world! She is by far the most amazing person that I have ever known. She is so full of love and happiness and it infects everyone around her. Randi also loves to have fun. She is a kid at heart, especially when children are around. She has been my best friend since the first day we met. During my two years on a mission she was my biggest support and has always been my #1 fan. Randi is extremely loyal and protective of her loved ones. She is very organized and always has everything planned out. I think she secretly has our whole lives planned out for us :) but I believe that her ability to think through things and plan things out is one of the many reasons Randi is successful at everything she does. She currently manages Beaches Tanning Center's largest Salon in Sandy, Utah. She has moved up in the company 4 times now. She is a born leader and the girls she works with really look up to her. She hires, trains, sells like a boss, and is an awesome example to those girls. On top of managing a store, she also owns her own photography business. She is a world class photographer. She is pro at all kinds of photography but I especially love how she is able to entertain and get expressions out of little children. Photography is an art that she is very passionate about. With all of her success, I am so amazed at how ready and willing she is to give it all up to be a mom. That is her biggest goal in life right now. It has broken my heart to witness her struggle through infertility. It has effected us both greatly but Randi has had to bare the worst of it. She is naturally a mother and has such a big heart full of love for every child that she meets. Motherhood is her calling in life and a huge part of who she is. I know that Randi is going to be a incredible mother.

This goofy little guy is our puppy Ruca Rose. (it's pronounced like Roo-ka) I like to call him Ruca-Roo. He is a chocolate lab and is almost 1 year old. His birthday is on May 5! Cinco-de-mayo! We picked him out in June of 2014 and have loved having hime in our family! We have taken him to puppy training classes and bring him everywhere we can. He loves to play fetch, go swimming and on hikes and he is so good with kids. He can be crazy for sure, he is still a puppy after all, but he is a sweetheart. He knows how to sit, lay down, and "settle," (which is the command we use to get him to lay on his side and calm down.) He is working on roll over, he understands the commands "stay" and "heel" but sometimes chooses to ignore them, and will do just about anything for a treat. We love to take him on car rides and to the lake when we go fishing and can't wait to take him camping this year. He is so fun to have around!
Our Home & Neighborhood:
In March of 2014 we picked a little dirt pile on a hill in Lehi, Utah and began the process of building our first home! In November of 2014 we finally got to move in! We love our little house and the area that we live in. We live in a brand new neighborhood just off of Timpanogos Highway in North Lehi. We are really close to American Fork Canyon as well as Thanksgiving Point. It really is the perfect place to raise a family! Since Mason and I are kids at heart we can't wait to have passes to Thanksgiving Point and take our kiddos to all of the museums, the movie theater and to the gardens so they can run around like little crazy people! Not to mention our neighborhood is going to have a swimming pool, playground and lots of walking trails to keep us busy during the summer.
Mason and I are strong members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and absolutely love our ward! Not only are the people great but we have the best calling ever. We get to teach a group of amazing 7 year olds! We love that age group because they just soak up everything you say since they are getting ready to be baptized this year! We try hard to attend all of their baptisms which is nothing short of an amazing experience every single time and we love to hear their little singing voices during sharing time. Plus since I converted to the church when I was 16 I get to learn all the primary songs that I didn't get to learn when I was little :)
Why Adoption?
It's no secret to our friends and family that Mason and I have been battling with infertility since shortly after we got married. We have been trying for three years to start our family, have been in infertility treatments for two years, have had two miscarriages and just last year I had an ectopic pregnancy that could have been life threatening had we not caught it when we did. With three lost pregnancies and a surgery to boot we started talking about options. I have had all kinds of blood work, tests, procedures and medications to try and help us start our family to no avail. I have always wanted to adopt, where, to be honest, Mason was a little bit more hesitant at first. With so much to think about and a lot to talk through we started going to the temple and praying A LOT about what we thought our next step was going to be. One night in October Mason came home from work with flowers for me and a huge smile on his face! He expressed an overwhelming desire to adopt and that he had figured out earlier that day that this was the road he knew we should take. Needless to say, I may have cried, and we hugged A LOT. We were so excited! Mason and I scheduled an appointment later in October to meet with someone from LDS family services. She helped answer all of our questions, gave us a ton of information and helped us take the first steps. We began our home study December 2014 and were finally approved in March!! And here we are!
Adopting for us is so much more than just starting a family. It is an opportunity to serve and love without any limitations. We can not wait to provide our perfect baby with a beautiful life full of unconditional love and crazy fun-filled nights together as a family! Not only do we look forward to giving our baby all of the opportunity in the world to pursue whatever dreams and ambitions they can think up but we look forward to teaching them about the tough decision that they're birth parents had to make in order to give them those opportunities. We want you to know how much we love and respect you and the decision you have made to put your child up for adoption. We can not wait to meet you in person and thank you face-to-face. We hope that this has helped you get to know a little bit more bout us and hope that if you want to meet us or ask anymore questions that you will e-mail either Mason at masontherose@gmail.com or Me (Randi) at randitherose@gmail.com.
